The Easter Group is an ecumenical community of faith whose mission is to end poverty, empower people, and bring about a rebirth of hope. In support of the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs), we commit ourselves to identifying and implementing local and global projects that serve those in need. Our actions are for the benefit of all regardless of personal faith, culture, or belief.

Anyone interested in pursuing our goals is invited to attend our meetings and join us in our efforts. The 2009 Homeless Summit was sponsored by the Easter Group (see below). Read more about the MDGs and our goals on the About Us page.

The Homeless Summit, Advance Planning for the Care of the Homeless in Sitka was held in Sitka on October 29th, 2009. The Summit was sponsored by the Easter Group to make progress on the United Nations' Millennium Development Goals relating to poverty, hunger, shelter, equality and education.
